Little Fatal Baby Dreams

Original Title :  Pink Laundry

True story of the photo : The photo is called the pink laudry and I just took it one afternoon on my way to go out. The building is very close to mine, the pink pallette caught my eye, I smiled, made the circle arround the block, parked and click!

My story for the photo : Once upon a time, there was a shirt living in Athens. He was dark blue with light green stripes. The territory he was  staying was not so nice, there were a lot of immigrants and they were not elegant. Each time he was driving crazy because of this lack of good taste. Pink skirts with orange belts, brown tops with black dots...They were all irresistable for him. He wanted to move somewhere else but the rents were so high, especially around his favorite area; Plaka. He had a part-time job on a tent. Clothes were working on tents these days. The job was about to make the  best combination with the laundries by staying hanged down on tents. This branch was born after an installation made by a Greek pyhsics teacher years ago. As the clothes realized it's an easier job than anything else, they created an union for that. Anyway, their office was in Ilioupoli, so that he had to take metro. One day, as he was going to work, a red dress got into the same wagon with him. Aki  (that was his name, he was a tiny little baby so his parents called him like that for one year, until he was baptised and decided to name him like that) lost himself when he saw her, his tongue locked, his eyes blushed. She was his dream cloth! He quickly daydreamed of their future life, the little blue son with red collar and green striped purple daughter...Red Dress was reading her book and she was not aware of him. When the train arrived Dafni, Red Dress put her book in her bag. She got ready to get off. Aki had to wait until his station but he couldn't let Red Dress just disappear. Of course he went after her. Like a stalker, he chased her all way long. As she arrived her workplace, which was another tent of course, Aki sat on the pavement across the street and watched her while she was working. He kept doing this for weeks, he got fired because of not even showing up, he was broke and almost going to lose his house. But love and Red Dress was much more important than all these. She was not aware of him, and unlike the shirts and shorts, she was able to work all year because she could be combined with sweaters and socks. Aki, on the other hand, was an 'only summer' worker. He was not used to cold but he was sitting on the pavement to watch her. Finally he got a very bad flu. It turned into tuberculosis, and unfortunately there was not any possible treatment for clothes back then. As the Red Dress worked, Aki died slowly while loving her...
